Therapy Services
A Renewed Mind & Wellness
Helping the helpers starts here. Whether you’re a nurse, doctor, teacher, therapist, or another professional carrying the weight of others’ needs, you deserve a space that’s just for you.
I provide individual therapy, group therapy, and organizational workshops designed to address burnout, compassion fatigue, stress, and trauma. Sessions are available in-person in the Kansas City Metro and via telehealth across Kansas and Missouri, so you can access support in a way that fits your life.
Individual Therapy
Sometimes you need a private space just for you. In individual therapy, we focus on what you’re carrying—whether it’s burnout, compassion fatigue, moral injury, anxiety, or the stress of always being “on” for others. Sessions are 60 minutes, available in-person in Overland Park, Kansas or through telehealth across Kansas and Missouri.
Together, we’ll:
Process the unique challenges of working in healthcare, education, or other helping roles
Learn practical tools for stress, boundaries, and emotional regulation
Address the impact of secondary trauma and compassion fatigue
Reconnect you with balance, meaning, and energy in your daily life
Rates: $150 per 60-minute session | Insurance accepted
Availability: Evening, weekend, and flexible telehealth for shift workers and busy professionals.
Group Therapy
Healing doesn’t always happen alone—sometimes it’s most powerful when you’re surrounded by people who truly understand. My groups bring together helpers with shared experiences to reduce isolation, normalize burnout, and build resilience together. Small group setting (6–10 participants), offered in Overland Park, Kansas and via telehealth across Kansas and Missouri.

Why It Matters:
When helpers thrive, organizations thrive. Investing in your staff’s mental health reduces turnover, prevents burnout, and strengthens the capacity of your whole team.
How I Work
I use evidence-based, practical approaches that are especially effective for helpers experiencing burnout, compassion fatigue, and secondary trauma.
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)
Helps you identify and shift unhelpful thought patterns that fuel stress, guilt, or “never enough” thinking.
Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)
Supports you in reconnecting with your values and building resilience, even when work feels overwhelming.
Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR)
Effective for processing distressing or traumatic experiences common in healthcare and education settings.
Group Therapy
Evidence shows that sharing space with others in your profession can reduce isolation and normalize burnout experiences.
My approach is integrative—I tailor the therapy to your needs, blending structure with compassion, so you leave sessions with tools you can actually use in real life.
Therapy, Wherever You Are
Telehealth Sessions
If coming into the office isn’t practical or comfortable, therapy is also available online. Through a secure, HIPAA-compliant video platform, you can connect with me from your own private space. No commute, no waiting rooms — just therapy that meets you where you are.
In-Person Sessions
For those who prefer to meet face-to-face, I offer sessions at my office in Overland Park, Kansas. The space is private, welcoming, and designed to feel safe and grounding — a place where you can truly exhale.
Pricing & Insurance
I believe therapy should feel like an investment in your well-being, not another source of stress.
My goal is to make the process as simple and transparent as possible.

Insurance
I currently accept Blue Cross Blue Shield, Aetna and UnitedHealthcare insurance plans.
If I am in-network with your plan, you’ll only be responsible for your copay, coinsurance, or deductible — determined by your insurance provider.
If I am not in-network with your insurance, you may still be able to use out-of-network benefits. In that case, I can provide you with a superbill to submit for possible reimbursement.
Payment
Any copays or fees not covered by insurance are due at the end of each session. I accept credit cards and HSA/FSA cards. Cash and check are available options for in-person sessions.

-
The best way is to call the number on the back of your insurance card and ask:
Am I covered for outpatient mental health therapy with a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW)?
What is my copay or coinsurance?
Do I have a deductible that needs to be met before coverage begins?
-
If I’m out-of-network, you may still be eligible for partial reimbursement. I can provide a superbill (an itemized receipt) for you to submit to your insurance company.
-
Yes. Many clients use their Health Savings Accounts (HSA) or Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA) to pay for sessions.

Some clients choose private pay for privacy, flexibility, or personal preference. This option allows us to work together without limits set by insurance companies.
